Isagenix® Income Liberates Texas Twosome From 9-to-5

While previous network marketing ventures created stress and ate into family time, it was Isagenix that ultimately brought Texas couple Robert and Joy together as partners in work and play.

Robert had built up many network marketing businesses over the years in between his career as a massage therapist and a spa director. But they were all-consuming and took away quality time with his family. He felt so disenchanted with the industry that he and Joy had a “cleansing” of their home and burned all of their previous network marketing books, files, filing cabinet and even valuable contacts.

“I had to make a decision about the industry because at that point it was network marketing or my marriage,” confesses Robert. “But I knew we would eventually be introduced to something that had the integrity and keys in place.”

When they discovered Isagenix through Robert’s stepmother, both were in search of better health. Joy was looking to tone up and lose weight while Robert, a former runner, triathlete and national champion in ski archery, was looking to regain his health and the lean muscles he had lost after a chronic illness forced him to end his athletic career. Robert gained three pounds* of muscle on the program, but it was Joy’s weight loss of 16 pounds and 21 inches* that had people noticing.

Joy admits that she was hesitant to jump back into network marketing, but she couldn’t help but share her results. Soon, she had created a fledgling business.

“It’s the culture and family at Isagenix that changed my opinion about doing the business,” says Joy. “We wanted to still be able to have our family and together time, and we’ve been able to do that with this business.”

By then, the couple had moved to Texas for Joy’s job in healthcare marketing. They decided that she would keep her full-time job while Robert did massage therapy part time along with Isagenix. Within six months, he had replaced his full-time massage therapy income and in 10 months had built a six-figure business** so he and Joy could finally work together. To commemorate the day that they no longer needed Joy’s income, Robert planned something extra special.

“I had a limo, a tuxedo and Joy’s evening wear,” remembers Robert. “I picked her up at her job and told her it was her ‘freedom day’ from corporate America.”

For Joy, it was an exciting time, but quite the switch from what she was used to.

“I was high heels, skirt and clipboard, corporate America all the way,” adds Joy. “But being home to have the time we have with our family is just greater than you can ever know until you have it.”

Since their liberation, the couple has traveled from the Arctic Circle to the Caribbean, enjoyed priceless time with their four grandkids, and college tuition will no longer be a worry for the family. Working together has been an enjoyable process for the twosome who strives to be authentic leaders for their team and committed to God, family and business.

“Our team has had such amazing personal growth,” enthuses Joy. “To see the leaders that we have grow in their marriages, families and business. It’s been great to see them soar.”
